NPL preview: North Sunshine v Victory

Melbourne Victory heads to North Sunshine looking to continue their strong NPL 3 Victoria form.

Preview

Victory is now unbeaten in six games after an impressive 6-0 win over Ballarat City at Epping Stadium last week.

A perfect hat-trick and assist from Lleyton Brooks set the tone for another great performance, keeping touch with league-leaders Melbourne City on the table.

Luka Prso, Will Wilson and Adem Duratovic also found the back of the net.

The clean sheet was highlighted by the the performance of the Lino brothers, Franco and Jackson, who linked up in defence for the first time this season.

The result saw Victory (17 points) keep their grip on third spot behind Preston (17) and City (19).

North Sunshine sit in fifth position on 12 points after losing 4-1 in Doveton last week. However, their last home fixture ended in a 5-2 win over Springvale.

Victory defeated North Sunshine 1-0 in their only clash last year.

Player in focus

Luka Prso is a commanding figure in attacking midfield at 188cm and was heavily involved in the 6-0 win over Ballarat City. The left-footer created a number of chances and executed a sublime finish from outside the box to get his own name on the scoresheet.
