Ola Toivonen broke a Melbourne Victory record with his 20th goal for the club on Sunday.

Toivonen scored a brilliant equaliser for Victory during a 1-1 draw against the Wellington Phoenix at AAMI Park.

The 33-year-old reached 20 goals for Victory in just 32 games, the fastest in club history, beating Besart Berisha’s mark of 36.

Toivonen’s goal was his 18th for Victory in the Hyundai A-League, going with his two AFC Champions League strikes.

He moved into equal 10th for most Hyundai A-League goals for the club, joining Mark Milligan on 18.
