Victory launch U-NITE Multicultural Round

Melbourne Victory’s U-NITE Multicultural Round, brought to you by WorkSafe, takes place this week.

Headlined by the Tuesday night blockbuster A-League Men’s clash against Sydney FC at AAMI Park, the annual round aims to celebrate the role football has played in bringing different cultures together and celebrates the different backgrounds of everyone involved with the Club from players and coaches to members and fans.

Special events will be held at AAMI Park on match day, including a citizenship ceremony, performances from a range of cultures, and a welcome to country.

On Wednesday, the U-NITE Cup Men’s and Women’s finals will be played at CB Smith Reserve, Jukes Road, Fawkner.

Usually held on Australia Day ahead of our U-NITE match, the U-NITE Cup brings together over 40 men’s and women’s teams from diverse backgrounds to compete in an inclusive environment. The main purpose of the event is to celebrate football’s ability to bring different cultures together.

Roxburgh Park United and Astronautu play off in the Women’s final at 11am before Fiji and Afghan United duel for the Men’s cup at 2.15pm.

Keep an eye on the Club’s website and social channels for U-NITE week content.
