100 Day Challenge participant Matt Torcasio has embraced the opportunity to meet with Adrian Leijer, Captain of Melbourne Victory and responsible gambling ambassador.

Matt is one of the four faces of the ‘Fight for the real you- campaign who has successfully completed the 100 Day Challenge to take control of his gambling.

“In the first month I was struggling with not gambling. To where I have got to today. I have not thought about gambling at all. I didn-t think I-d get this far so quick. I-ve surprised myself. I-m feeling so much happier in life. My life is heading in the right direction now. It-s a really good feeling. It-s worth doing,” Matt says.

The ‘Fight for the real you- campaign features the stories of four ‘real- Victorians with gambling problems captured in a daily video diary.

To date, over 1400 people have registered to take up their own 100 Day Challenge while the campaign website has had more than 125,000 hits.

The website provides information about counselling options as well as self-help tools for people who are worried about their gambling. They can join online forums, receive tips and tools for controlling their gambling, and keep their own private written or video diary.

Melbourne Victory is in partnership with the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation to help promote responsible gambling to young people and the community as well as help services for those people with gambling issues.
