Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce it has signed versatile defender, Natalie Tathem, for the 2020/21 Westfield W-League season.
The 25-year-old arrives at Victory having spent the past four seasons at Brisbane Roar. She will add further depth to the club’s strong defensive stocks and can also slot into the midfield when required.
Tathem said she was excited for the upcoming campaign in the navy blue.
“It’s really exciting to have signed with Victory, the club has been extremely competitive over the past couple of seasons and they have fantastic support from the members and fans,” Tathem said.
“The environment Jeff, the players and the staff have created is very impressive. Jeff has outlined the expectations he has for the team, and for me personally, and I’m really focused on making sure I deliver on those.
“Our squad has a really good mix of experience and youth, and the focus is to keep putting in the hard work on and off the pitch to give ourselves the best opportunity to take the next step for the club this season.”
W-League Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, said Tathem is a valued addition to the squad this season.
“It’s wonderful to have Natalie sign with us for the 2020/21 season,” Hopkins said.
“Natalie is a very versatile and hard-working defender who can also push up and play in the midfield. She spent a number of seasons in a very competitive Brisbane Roar outfit and we believe Natalie is another strong addition to our squad.
“We are really pleased with how the team is coming together and is preparing for our first match against the Wanderers on December 27.”
