Melbourne Victory is delighted to announce it has signed Christine Nairn and Dani Weatherholt for the 2018/18 Westfield W-League season.
The American duo have joined from NWSL side Orlando Pride.
Nairn, an attacking midfielder, has proven W-League experience and returns to Victory for the fourth time.
Meanwhile Weatherholt, a central midfielder, will play in the Australia for the first time.
Head Coach Jeff Hopkins was pleased to have secured two key international players for his squad.
“Christine was a key target for me because, similar to Tash Dowie, she has been here before and knows what we’re about,” Hopkins said.
“She’s a leader and sets a really good example for the rest of the squad with her professionalism.
“Dani is a talented midfielder not only has great defensive qualities, but also gets forward to support attacks.
“She’s a great team player and very influential both on and off the field.
“I’m really happy with how the squad is coming together and obviously it is pleasing to lock in two quality international players who bring a lot to the group.”
