Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the first of two new international signings today with US international midfielder Haley Hanson confirmed for the Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season.
Hanson, 23, joins Victory with over 40 games of league experience for Houston Dash in the NWSL and one cap for the US national team.
The midfielder also captained the US Under-23 team while representing Nebraska Cornhuskers in the College league before Houston drafted her with the 7th overall pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft.
Having spent her entire career in the US thus far, Hanson said she was looking forward to her first experience overseas.
“I’m so excited to join Melbourne Victory for this upcoming season,” said Hanson.
“I’m thrilled that I get to experience my first taste of the W-League in a team that is filled with talented players and committed staff members.
“I can already tell that this is going to be a special group and I can’t wait to get to work!”
