Melbourne Victory wishes to advise members and supporters of a request we have received from Marvel Stadium to help support their bushfire fundraising effort on the last weekend in February.
Marvel Stadium and its signage partner have pledged to donate all the revenue generated from their commercial partners to the AFL’s Bushfire Appeal match on Friday, February 28.
In order to help raise a significant amount of money for Victorian families and communities devastated by the bushfires, the club was asked to maintain the stadium in oval configuration for our Super Saturday Double Header on Saturday, February 29.
We understand this changes the original intent for the venue to be in rectangular configuration, however we also see this as an opportunity to play another meaningful role in supporting our fellow Victorians who have lost their homes, businesses and loved ones – on this basis we have agreed to the request.
We would also like to advise the following Aisles will be open to General Admission members for the two remaining Marvel Stadium matches; Eastern Side Level 1, Aisles 29-32 and Level 1, Aisles, 42-45.
