Goalscorer Kosta Barbarouses says he is proud of the way his team was able to record its first win in the group stage of the 2014 AFC Champions League.

Goalscorer Kosta Barbarouses says he is proud of the way his team was able to record its first win in the group stage of the 2014 AFC Champions League.

Press play on the video below to hear Barbarouses’ thoughts on the match, this weekend’s upcoming trip to Brisbane, plus much more.

Barbarouses said last night’s win had ensured Victory’s Champions League campaign remained alive and there was no reason to suggest his side couldn’t go on and do further damage in the competition.

The New Zealand international is now turning his focus to Saturday’s top-two clash with Brisbane Roar and his first game back at Suncorp Stadium since he won a Championship with the Brisbane side.

“It’ll be pretty special for me, I had a great year there,” Barbarouses said.

“We had great success. It’ll be great to there and play again, it’s a great place to go and play football. And it’ll be good to see some old faces as well.”

Melbourne Victory will take on Brisbane Roar this Saturday night in Brisbane at 7:45pm.
