Melbourne Victory captain Mark Milligan believes his side’s trip to Tasmania will give the club’s newest signings a great preview into what they can expect this Hyundai A-League season.

Speaking after the club’s first training session in Kingston, Tasmania, Milligan said the additions of Pablo Contreras and James Troisi, the latter on loan from Serie A side Atalanta, would provide added depth to Victory’s squad.

Press play on the video below to hear Milligan talk all things Tasmania and Victory pre-season.

“It definitely just adds to the depth of our squad, which is very important now because the league is getting a lot stronger,” Milligan said.

“Troisi has been at a lot of good clubs over his career. I was fortunate enough to play with him in the Olympic side and a couple of times with the Socceroos as well. He’s a quality player.”

Melbourne Victory will take on Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday, September 29 at Twin Ovals, Kingston, Tasmania – more details at Football Federation Tasmania’s website.
