Melbourne Victory’s newest recruit James Troisi says he is eager to make a mark on Australian football in his Hyundai A-League debut season.

The 25-year-old joined his Melbourne Victory teammates at the club’s pre-season camp in Tasmania this week, following confirmation of his one-year loan deal from Italian Serie A side, Atalanta.

“I’m excited to be back here, not many people have seem me play so it’s going to be exciting for me and hopefully for the fans as well,” Troisi said.

“There’s no doubt about it that Melbourne Victory is the biggest club in the A-League. The quality is good, Ange (Postecoglou) expects big things from the players, so I’m really looking forward to it.

“It’s now my job now to get on the pitch and show the fans what I can do.”
