Melbourne Victory can confirm that Ellie Wilson, Paige Zois, Ava Briedis and Geo Candy have departed the Club following the conclusion of their contracts.
Zois, who made her Melbourne Victory debut as a 16-year-old in the 2020/21 season, returned late last season after serious injury, adding to her 33 matches across five seasons.
Having played 25 matches across three seasons for the Club, Ava Briedis first joined Victory in 2022 from Football Victoria and, over her time with Victory, contributed at key moments including a later winner against Adelaide United to kick off last season.
Ellie Wilson made 16 appearances last season, playing a pivotal role in helping the Club reach the Grand Final in 2025 after her arrival from the UK while Geo Candy provided valuable support as last season’s back-up goalkeeper to record-breaker Courtney Newbon.
“Ellie, Paige, Ava and Geo have all been outstanding contributors to Melbourne Victory during their time with us,” said Director of Football, John Didulica.
“On behalf of the Club, we would like to thank them for their contribution to the Women’s Football program since joining Victory and wish them all the very best for the future. They will always be welcome back to the Victory family.”
