Melbourne Victory Women continue on the road to take on the Newcastle Jets on Saturday, January 11.
After suffering a tough 0-2 loss to the Brisbane Roar in their most recent match, Victory will be required to recover and bounce back quickly in Newcastle.
Victory comes into the game with a strong head-to-head record against the Jets, impressively winning eight of their previous nine meetings since 2018.

Losing just their second game this season against the Roar, Victory will be eager to return to their winning ways on Saturday.
Despite the loss, positives can be drawn from Jeff Hopkins’ defensive line in the second half in particular – only allowing a single shot on target against the league’s top-scoring side.
Centre-back pairing Claudia Bunge and Kayla Morrison are continuing to grow as a partnership, while Courtney Newbon has been a top-performing goalkeeper in the league this season.
The return of Matildas forward Emily Gielnik to the starting 11 also represents a significant boost for the side, still one of the league’s top scorers despite missing three games already this season.

Currently sat 9th in the Ninja A-League Women’s heading into round 11, the Newcastle Jets have experienced quite a mixed campaign so far.
The Jets are winless in their last four outings, notably claiming a point after scoring two late goals against Adelaide United to secure a 3-3 draw.
Captain and all-time appearances record holder for the club, Cassidy Davis has been a standout performer for the Jets this season – a hard-working midfielder who can pop up with a goal and create chances for teammates.
