Melbourne Victory v Brisbane Roar
Saturday 4th December, 3pm
AAMI Park
Broadcast live and exclusive on ABC 1 at 3pm EDST

Brisbane Roar have bounced back into form, with two wins in a row, racing up the ladder into second place this week. Can Melbourne Victory knock the wind out of their sails now that international striker Jodie Taylor has found her scoring touch!?

Victory head into this match with much more self-belief this week, coming off a convincing 4-0 away win over Adelaide United last round.

It seems that international Jodie Taylor is starting to settle in nicely for the Victory, scoring two goals, outpacing her defenders on both occasions to finish easily past the keeper.

This win happened to be the Victory-s first for the season and if Brisbane Roar have it their way, Victory will have to wait a while longer to seal their second!

The Roar faced Perth last week and as the clock wound down to the dying seconds of the match, fans began to pick up their bags ready to leave, as the match seemed destined for a 0-0 draw.

This was not to be, not on Roar-s striker, Lisa De Vanna’s watch anyway!

The dynamic pocket rocket picked up the ball in the 93rd minute and created a touch of class, sneaking in behind the Glory-s defence, to coolly slot home the winner against her old club. In good jest, she then made her way over to Perth-s bench to show her gratitude, blowing them a friendly kiss!

This Saturday it will take a little more then a few kisses from the Roar to blow over the Victory girls this week, given that they travel to The Victory-s domain, the ultra-impressive AAMI Park!

We could potentially witness history being made this match seeing that Melbourne Victory-s shorts sponsor, Associated Storage and The Melbourne Victory women’s team have set a challenge to all Westfield W-League and Melbourne Victory fans to help
record the biggest ever Westfield W- League crowd ever!
