Melbourne Victory is proud to announce that goalkeeper Daniel Graskoski has been named in the Australian U18 Men’s National Team for the UEFA U18 Friendship Cup.
Set to take place in Nyon, Switzerland, the tournament will see Australia face Argentina, France, and the United States of America at UEFA HQ.
Following a string of impressive performances as the starting goalkeeper for Victory’s Academy side in Victoria’s NPL1 competition, and having trained alongside the senior A-League squad, Director of Football John Didulica said the call-up was well-deserved recognition.
“Daniel continues to progress and learn from the exceptional keepers and coaches we have at the club. This coupled with the intensity of playing in the NPL1 each week means his development is accelerating, so this another great opportunity for him to have a great professional experience.”
The Australian team will travel to Europe on May 28 ahead of their first match of the 10-day campaign, which kicks off against Argentina on June 1.
Graskoski’s participation will be dependent on the outcome of Melbourne Victory’s A-League Men’s Semi-Finals.
