Brendan Hamill
5 Defender
Rejoining Melbourne Victory for a second spell in 2024, central defender Brendan Hamill provides valuable experience and leadership both on and off the pitch.
Becoming Melbourne Heart’s youngest ever player to debut in 2010, Hamill would make the move to South Korea in 2012, featuring for both Seongnam and Gangwon in K-League 1.
Lifting the AFC Champions League under the guidance of Tony Popovic at Western Sydney Wanderers, Hamill would spend five years in New South Wales prior to moving south.
Spending two seasons with Western United, Hamill would reunite with Popovic after signing for Victory in 2021, lifting the Australia Cup in a successful campaign for the club.
Joining Mohun Bagan after a great season in navy blue, more silverware followed for Hamill in India before returning to Victory ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Quickly establishing himself in the side alongside captain Roderick Miranda, Hamill would make 31 appearances in both the league and cup.
Suffering a devastating ACL injury during Victory’s semifinal clash with Auckland FC, Hamill will aim to recover well and return to the field during the 2025/26 season.
