Bruno Fornaroli
10 AttackerOne of the most prolific Hyundai A-League strikers of recent years, Fornaroli completed a switch from Melbourne City to Glory in March 2019.
Before joining City in 2015, he had represented the likes of Sampdoria in Italy, Panathinaikos in Greece, Argentina’s San Lorenzo and Recreativo Huelva in Spain, as well as Nacional in his native Uruguay.
The 37-year-old scored 23 goals to claim the Hyundai A-League Golden Boot during his debut season for Melbourne City and added a further 17 in the following season.
In doing so, he became the quickest player to reach 30 goals in the A-League.
Fornaroli’s first season in purple saw him claim the club’s Golden Boot as he helped himself to 13 goals in 28 games, taking his career A-League tally to 59.
He backed that up by adding a second Glory Golden Boot to his collection in 2020/21 when he again scored 13 times and the man nicknamed ‘El Tuna’ (The Prickly Pear) also took out the Most Glorious Player Award.
2022 saw the newly-naturalised Australian earn his first cap for the Socceroos, while domestically, he again topped Glory’s goalscoring chart with eight.
