Kayla Morrison is an American-born Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Melbourne Victory in the A-League Women. She previously played for Kansas Jayhawks in college, FC Bulleen Lions in Australia, Morön BK in Sweden, and Portland Thorns in the United States. Morrison joined Melbourne Victory in 2020, where she quickly made an impact, playing every minute of the 2020-21 season and helping lead the team to a W-League championship. She was named Player’s Player of the Year and won the Victory Medal.

Appointed captain for the 2021-22 season, Morrison suffered an ACL injury but made a strong return in 2022-23, scoring a hat-trick against Newcastle Jets. Known for her defensive prowess, leadership, and offensive contributions, she briefly played for Portland Thorns in 2023 before rejoining Melbourne Victory. Morrison remains a key figure in the Victory lineup, embodying resilience and dedication.
