Nikos Vergos

Nikos Vergos is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a striker for Melbourne Victory in the A-League. A product of Olympiacos’ youth academy, Vergos made his debut for the senior team in 2013. He soon gained recognition after scoring his first goal in 2014, just minutes after coming on as a substitute against Asteras Tripolis. He has played for several clubs on loan, including Elche, Real Madrid Castilla, and Vasas in Hungary.

Vergos signed with Panathinaikos in 2018 before moving to Panetolikos, where he notably helped his team avoid relegation in 2021 by scoring a crucial goal. Following a brief stint with Atromitos in the Greek Super League, Vergos joined Melbourne Victory in August 2024. Known for his physical presence and goal-scoring instincts, he adds valuable experience and depth to Victory’s attacking line-up as they aim for success in the A-League.
