Goulburn Valley defeated Melbourne Victory 2-1 in the PlayStation 4 NPL2 West at Epping Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
At Shepparton Sports Precinct, it was Goulburn Valley who struck first on 15 minutes, with Stephen Papagorgiou opening the scoring.
Just shy of the half hour it was Cody Selwood who doubled the Suns’ lead.
Christian Theoharous won Victory a penalty on 70 minutes and make no mistake to halve the deficit, but despite Victory’s best efforts it was unable to find a late equaliser.
Victory hosts Ballarat City next Saturday afternoon at Epping Stadium in the penultimate match of the season.
