Melbourne Victory re-sign experience with Newbon, Lowe and Flannery

Melbourne Victory is pleased to confirm that Courtney Newbon, Rachel Lowe and Nicki Flannery have all re-signed with the Club for the upcoming A-League season.

With a record number of clean sheets in the 2024/25 season, 24-year-old goalkeeper Courtney Newbon returns to Victory for her third season. Newbon displayed incredible performances last season, with her consistency proving to be a great contribution to the Club’s success.

Midfielder Rachel Lowe will be looking to continue her success in the upcoming Ninja A-League 2025/26 season, having notched up over 45 caps for the Club since her arrival in 2023. With 16 goals and five assists to her name through her career in navy so far, Lowe has played an essential role in Victory’s finals campaigns over the past two seasons.

While now heading into her second season with the Club, Nicki Flannery had an immediate impact in her debut year for Victory, playing 26 matches where she averaged over 80 minutes and scored five goals and three assists. Flannery returns after a short term stint with Cypriot Women’s First Division club, Apollon Limassol during the A-Leagues offseason.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football John Didulica said he was pleased to have the range of depth and experienced players returning to the Club as they aim to go one better in 2026.

“We are very pleased to have Courtney, Rachel and Nicki returning for the upcoming season with Melbourne Victory,” Didulica said.

“The experience among this group is essential as we aim to achieve silverware, having fallen just short last season. Each of these players have proven their talent and showcased the quality of football they are capable of, given our previous record breaking performances.

“I have no doubt that Rachel, Courtney and Nicki will bring their best on the pitch and play an important role in the Club’s ongoing success”
