Melbourne Victory sign Matthew Grimaldi 

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce the signing of Australian U23 international Matthew Grimaldi ahead of the 2025/26 season.

A technically gifted 21-year-old attacking player, Grimaldi has quickly risen to become one of the A-League Men’s top talents after a breakout campaign in 2023/24.  

Fresh off qualifying for the AFC U23 Asian Cup alongside new teammates Jordi Valadon, Joshua Rawlins and Jing Reec, Grimaldi impressed as a key player within Australia’s U23 set-up. 

Melbourne Victory Head Coach Arthur Diles is delighted to be adding another outstanding young Melburnian to the squad.

Grimaldi joins recruits Warshawsky, Genreau, Davidson, D’Arrigo, Esposito, Jelacic, Lino, Saglam, Dragicevic, and Stella who have all joined the Club ahead of the upcoming A-Leagues season, together with Miranda, Santos, Traore, Razmovski, and Kolic who extended their contracts with the Club and academy promotions of and Mihailidis and Lazarevski.
