Melbourne Victory can confirm that Academy player Luka Didulica will depart the Club for a professional contract with J1 League giant Urawa Red Diamonds.
Didulica represented Victory’s Senior NPL during the 2025 season and most notably featured in the match day squad for both legs of the Isuzu UTE A-League Finals matches against Auckland FC after impressing during his time working with the A-League Men’s squad.
The towering defensive midfielder now joins the three-time AFC Champions League Elite winners, who currently sit eighth in the Japanese top flight.
Men’s Head Coach, Arthur Diles, commented on the 18-year-old’s move to Japan.
“We are very proud of having worked with Luka through the 2025 season and helping him take a step to one of the biggest clubs in Asia.
“It’s a testament to the work being done at Victory and at clubs all across Australia that we are now developing players that are being scouted and signed by clubs like Urawa.
“Luka is a fantastic player and a humble young man, so we have no doubt he will do well in Japan, and he leaves with our best wishes”.
