Melbourne Victory will recognise the achievement of centurion Kayla Morrison on Friday night.
The A-League Women’s Captain recorded her 100th appearance in the recent Melbourne Derby, becoming the first player in Club history to record a century of outings in the ALW competition.
Post-match, she was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie, before Women’s Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, spoke to Morrison’s contribution to Melbourne Victory.
Now, as is tradition, the defender will receive a ball plinth during a special pre-game presentation in the pre-match build-up before Victory host Wellington Phoenix at The Home of The Matildas on Friday, February 20, kick-off 7pm.
Morrison, a pillar of the team’s defence, who has worn the armband for the Girls in Blue since 2021, is a two-time Championship winner and boasts a record three Victory medals.
She has scored on 13 occasions for the Club and is widely recognised by her peers, being a four-time PFA Team of the Season inclusion.
