Hamill here to stay at Victory

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that Brendan Hamill has re-signed.

The 33-year-old Australian centre-back, whose association with the Club dates back to July 2021, will remain a Victory player under Head Coach, Giovanni Savarese, for the 2026/27 season.

Across two spells, Hamill has made 46 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances for the Boys in Blue, the latest of which marked a memorable return from an ACL injury suffered during the 2025 Isuzu UTE A-League Finals Series.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica, commented:

“Despite being sidelined for the majority of the last campaign, Brendan – as part of the leadership group – was integral to setting standards in the playing group, and we were all delighted to see him take to the field in the final round of the regular season.

“He provides genuine experience of the competition and of playing in Asia, which will be vital in the months ahead.”

Hamill said:

“I am really happy to extend my time at a place that means a lot to me and in an environment that brings the best out of me professionally.

“It is no secret that the past year was challenging. It tested me in ways I had not previously experienced, but it has, without a shadow of a doubt, made me stronger.

“Now I am raring to go for the next challenge and doing everything I can for my teammates, the staff and our fans to ensure we win.”

Hamill’s re-signing follows Charles Nduka and Jack Warshawsky agreeing contract extensions at the Club, Franco Lino returning on loan, both Harry Sawyer and Harry Shillington joining Victory, and Mikey Ghossaini, William Kengni, Jack Mihailidis and Malik Olukhale all signing their first A-League contracts.
