Supporters can cast their votes now for October’s Turkish Airlines Player of the Month, with four A-League Women’s players to choose from.
The Girls in Blue played twice last month, starting their Ninja A-League season with back-to-back away matches against Western Sydney Wanderers and Wellington Phoenix, collecting four points along the way.
The contenders
Holly Furphy
The attacker, starting her second full season at the Club and dizzying defenders in the process, has made one of the wide-forward starting berths her own.
Furphy was a constant threat on Matchweek 1, providing a chance that Anna Sutter would want back, and followed this up by scoring the opening goal in Wellington a week later, during a 7.7-rated display.
Alana JanÄŤevski
The versatile Australian has seamlessly returned to a more advanced role this term, and her early form is vindicating Jeff Hopkins’ decision.
JanÄŤevski’s left foot has always been a weapon to be feared, and she proved this once again in Western Sydney, netting the matchwinner thanks to a stunning free kick, earning a 7.5 FotMob rating.
Zoe McMeeken
Back from a frustrating injury lay-off, the marauding Kiwi full-back is making up for lost time, hitting the ground running at the beginning of 2026/27.
McMeeken’s 7.8-rated effort in the curtain-raiser was the visiting side’s star performance before another solid shift against her former team, Wellington Phoenix.
Kayla Morrison
Melbourne Victory’s captain fantastic has been a rock at the back yet again for Hopkins.
Morrison recorded 7.8 on FotMob versus Western Sydney Wanderers and in Matchweek 2 played a big hand in securing a point away to last season’s Grand Final runners-up.
