Melbourne Victory is delighted to announce the signing of Skye Leach.
The 22-year-old Texan-born midfielder, called up to the Philippines’ senior national team for the first time earlier this year, has signed for Jeff Hopkins’ team going into the 2026/27 season.
Leach’s experience to date includes three years playing for Baylor Bears, and a season each with Kentucky University and Minnesota Aurora of the USL W League.
Melbourne Victory A-League Women’s Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, commented:
“Skye is a player who possesses great potential, and we will all be supporting the transition of her experiences in the U.S., as well as with the Philippines, into a new environment and help her be a part of bringing success here at Melbourne Victory.”
Leach said:
“This is a massive moment for me and right away, it is about repaying the Club’s faith in me by knuckling down and making sure I am firing on all cylinders when the season starts.”
“This is a new country and league for me, but I am relishing the challenge to get stuck in and fight for Melbourne Victory.”
Welcome to Victory, Skye!
Leach’s arrival follows Sophie Harding, Alicia Woods, Ayana Aoyagi and Angela Beard signing, and Claudia Bunge, Chelsea Blissett, Nicki Flannery, Courtney Newbon, and Zoe McMeeken re-signing.
