Melbourne Victory can confirm the departure of two A-League Women’s players from the 2025/26 season.
Defender Laura Pickett and midfielder Sofia Sakalis will not continue with Melbourne Victory in the 2026/27 Ninja A-League.
Melbourne-born Pickett emerged into the senior setup during the 2024/25 season, debuting in an away win against Adelaide United. In total, she featured on 34 occasions in the Ninja A-League.
Fellow Melburnian Sakalis, signed in August 2024, leaves after two seasons playing for the Club. In the A-League, she made 28 appearances for Jeff Hopkins’ team, scoring twice in her second campaign at Victory.
