The Adecco Group and Melbourne Victory held their very first, exclusive kids clinic at the Veneto Club in Bulleen last Wednesday afternoon.
Twenty of Adecco-s valued clients and their children were invited to join in an afternoon of football drills and activities with five of their Victory heroes.
Captain Adrian Leijer, Archie Thompson, Grant Brebner, Rodrigo Vargas and Petar Franjic all joined participated, while Dean Smyth and Joanne Tziotis from the Adecco team were there to cheer the kids on.
Mario Bezzina took along his grandson and was delighted with the clinic. “We had a great time. My grandson could not stop talking about it all the way home. He was really happy getting the Victory boys to sign his jumper and soccer ball.
“I would like to convey my thanks to the Victory boys, they were fabulous and the highlight of the day was when my grandson was in Archie Thompson-s team.”
Tracey Galileos couldn-t hide her excitement as her son got his prized Victory shirt signed by the players. “We were able to get our son this year-s top, so he got all the players that were there to sign it. He has now decided he wants to play soccer this year instead of AFL. My husband got his Victory shirt, which I brought him for Christmas, signed by Archie Thompson, who is his favourite player.”
Jennifer Carlton was delighted with the attention her two songs received. “I would like to sincerely thank Adecco on behalf of myself and my two boys William and Geoffrey, for the wonderful opportunity you gave us to attend at the Melbourne Victory Juniors Clinic.
The Players were fantastic with the kids and gave them a once in a life time experience they will never forget. Once again, thank you Adecco for a great afternoon.”
The day ended with a sausage sizzle, autograph signing session and a photo opportunity with the Melbourne Victory team members, where the youngsters received a Victory show bag as a memento.
