Victory Women returned to the top echelon of the Westfield W-League table with a convincing win over Adelaide United Women at Hindmarsh Stadium last week, which was the team-s second road trip in as many weeks.
Victory Women will welcome back Laura Alleway and Megan Archer to the match day squad after both missed the 3-0 triumph over the South Australian side.
But Victory Women will face a slick opponent on Saturday night in Newcastle, which currently sits in second spot and is coming off an impressive 4-2 away win against Central Coast Mariners Women.
Victory Women will need to keep a close eye on young Jets star Emily Van Egmond, who put in a head turning performance last week, scoring an impressive brace.
However, Victory Women will be encouraged by last week-s performance of Selin Kuralay, who also scored twice.
”It was a good performance last week and we will look to build on it,” Victory Women Coach Matt Shepherd said.
”It-s nice to be home again after playing two fixtures away back-to-back.
”Hopefully we can put in another strong performance.”
Saturday-s match will be the first and only time that Victory Women will host a fixture at Epping Stadium this season.
