We look at the key moments from the 2017/18 Hyundai A-League season that shaped our run to the 2018 Championship.
Plucked from the NPL, Kenny Athiu had to work hard for his opportunity at Melbourne Victory.
The former Heidelberg United striker admitted the shift from a semi-pro environment to the Hyundai A-League was a big one and it took some time for him to adapt.
But when his moment arrived, Athiu took it with both hands.

Victory was trailing Wellington Phoenix 1-0 in their Round 26 clash when Athiu replaced Besart Berisha in the 72nd minute.
The home side was desperate for a way back into the game and Athiu’s introduction proved to be the difference.
As the game entered the final ten minutes, Athiu was fouled in the area by Wellington’s Dylan Fox.
The subsequent penalty was coolly converted by Leroy George to bring the game level once again.
Athiu wasn’t done there.
In the 86th minute James Troisi’s assist was beautifully headed home by the striker– a diving header from point-blank range to win the game.
Victory fans had a new favourite, ‘King Kenny’ the match-winner.
