Melbourne Victory will face the Western Sydney Wanderers in a pre-season friendly at Morshead Park, Ballarat on Saturday, 8 September.
It will be the second time Melbourne plays a friendly in the region, after a similar clash with Brisbane Roar at the same venue last year.
Saturday’s game will be the second time Kevin Muscat’s men face Hyundai A-League opposition this pre-season, following a 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar in Morwell last weekend.
“The game against Western Sydney in Ballarat comes at an important time in our pre-season preparation and it is a great opportunity to get some minutes in against A-League opposition,” Muscat said.
“We enjoyed the chance to play in Ballarat last year and look forward to making the trip to Morshead Park again on September 8.”
