The following A-League Men match review panel outcome was published on Monday, November 2.
The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) – consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Rhali Dobson and Con Diomis – convened to consider one incident arising out of the A-League Men matches played between Friday, October 30 and Sunday, November 1 2026, in relation to Harry Shillington of Melbourne Victory.
The independent MRP considered an incident in relation to Shillington of Victory in or around the 13th minute of the match against Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, November 1 2026, in which Shillington received a direct red card.
In accordance with the A-Leagues Disciplinary Regulations, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident, as Shillington was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.
The MRP determined that Shillington committed the offence of “Denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, as prescribed in Law 12 of the Laws of the Game”. The Minimum Sanction for the Offence is one match, being the Mandatory Match Suspension. The MRP confirmed that Shillington will serve a suspension of one match being the Minimum Sanction for the offence. Therefore, Shillington will be eligible for selection in Victory’s match against Auckland FC on Saturday, November 21 2026.
On the basis that Shillington has been issued with the minimum sanction, the Club will not be appealing the sanction.
