Melbourne Victory is on the road for the first time in more than a month in the A-League as it prepares to visit Sydney FC on Saturday.
Summary
Victory is set to play outside its home state for the first time since February 10 as it aims to end a three-game losing streak.
Grant Brebner’s side is coming off a 3-1 loss to Adelaide United, beaten despite going ahead at Marvel Stadium.
Jake Brimmer’s tremendous free-kick – his fourth league goal of the season – put Victory ahead before it fell to defeat.
Brimmer also created a game-high three chances. No player has created more chances in the A-League this season than the Victory midfielder.
Victory defender Aaron Anderson, 20, came off injured in the second half against Adelaide.
Meanwhile, captain Leigh Broxham is suspended for the trip to Jubilee Stadium after picking up a fifth yellow card.
