Academy Preview: Seniors host Geelong, Academy hosts at Darebin

NPL3

Melbourne Victory will look to bounce back in NPL3 action on Sunday as they host Geelong SC at Epping Stadium.

Joe Palatsides’ side tasted defeat for the first time this season last Sunday as they went down to Nunawading City thanks to a late penalty that separated the sides.

Victory will be without Kasey Bos who was sent off in the final minutes of last week’s match but will looking to the NPL U23 regulars to secure the result at home with Adem Duratovic finding the back of the net last week and the return of Jordi Valadon, Will Wilson, Matt Bozinovski and Ahmad Taleb from the senior set up.

Geelong sit seventh in the NPL3 standings after a 3-2-3 start to the season but have only won one of their past five contests. Their top scorer this season is Anthony Trajkoski and will be the man to watch for the opponents this weekend.

The Under 20’s on the other hand still have a 100% record after seven matches.

Victory face Geelong on Sunday at Epping Stadium, kick-off 3.00pm, Under 20’s 12.15pm.
