The qualifier, which will be played over one leg, will see Victory take on the winner of Muangthong United (Thailand) vs. Pune (India)/Hanaoi T&T (Vietnam), with the date and location to be confirmed.

The winner of Victory’s qualifying match will then progress through to the Group G of the Asian Champions League, which includes the following teams:
Guangzhou Evergrande (China)
Emperor’s Cup winner (Japan)
Jeonbuk Motors (Korea)

Melbourne Victory captain Mark Milligan said he was excited to be involved in Asian Champions League once more.

“It will be a massive challenge for us to get to the main group stages, but if we do I know that our club will give us every assistance to be successful as possible and myself, and everyone at Victory, fans included, will relish the challenge and opportunity the ACL represents,” Milligan said.
