Angie Beard has agreed to join Danish side, Fortuna Hjørring for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
The Championship-winning captain departs Melbourne Victory in July after making 51 appearances for the Club.
W-League Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins said we are disappointed to lose Angie but wish her all the best.
“Angie’s ability and leadership would be an asset to any team,” Hopkins said.
“Although we are disappointed to be losing Angie, we wish her all the best in the next step of her
career. Angie will always be part of the Melbourne Victory family.”
The Club also extends its gratitude to Angie for her professionalism and contribution to the W-
League since arriving in 2017.
Fortuna Hjørring is one of the most successful clubs in Danish women’s football, with 11 domestic league titles to their name.
