Community diary: September/October 2009

The Melbourne Victory Regional Roadshows, proudly sponsored by KFC, visited Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Shepparton and Traralgon in September, with more than 2000 junior footballers enjoying a visit from their Melbourne Victory heroes.

The Melbourne Victory Regional Roadshows, proudly sponsored by KFC, visited Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Shepparton and Traralgon in September, with more than 2000 junior footballers enjoying a visit from their Melbourne Victory heroes.

The Regional Roadshows also coincided with a number of final Optus Small Sided Football Gala Days throughout Victoria.

The Melbourne Victory Metro Roadshows continued with visits to Ashburton Junior Soccer Club, Doncaster Rovers SC, Greenvale United JSC, Point Cook Soccer Club and Yarraville Glory FC.
Melbourne Victory players Carlos Hernandez, Tom Pondeljak and Rodrigo Vargas led a number of Melbourne Victory stars as part of the community program.

Melbourne Victory also continued its support of the Victorian Primary Schools Sports Association (VPSSA), with youngsters Matthew Foschini and Mathew Theodore visiting participants and presenting trophies and medallions at the State Championships at Darebin.

The All Schools State Championships were visited by Billy Celeski, Mate Dugandzic, Robbie Kruse and Tom Pondeljak, while Glen Moss and Matthew Kemp were special guests at the VICSRAPID Achievers Night, which recognised the efforts of athletes with intellectual disabilities.
