He’s Back

Bruno’s BACK!

The league’s leading goalscorer has officially returned from international duty and is straight back into training ahead of a blockbuster Saturday afternoon against Macarthur at AAMI Park.

Rollin’ In

Midfielder Roly Bonevacia returns to the A-League but this time will wear blue.

The 32-year-old joins Victory from Kuwaiti side Al-Tadamon where he spent the last four seasons playing throughout the Middle East.

Bonevacia is no stranger to the A-League, making 125 appearances over five seasons in the competition, representing Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney, and was named in the PFA A-League Men’s Team of the Season in 2016.

Bonevacia will be available for Saturday’s clash with Macarthur FC at AAMI Park on Saturday 10 February and joins Salim Khelifi as the Club’s latest mid-season transfer window acquisitions.

Twilight Tunes

It’s going to be a special night Saturday against the Bulls. Not only will we (hopefully) see Bruno return to the pitch, but fans will be treated to a special pre-match and half-time performance from DJ and former triple j breakfast host, Ebony Boadu.

Boadu is a renowned tastemaker, deeply plugged into the global music scene and her exuberant energy translates both in her sets and through the mic. Her obsession with music led her to hosting spots on FBi, SBS and MTV, before joining triple j in 2019 to soundtrack your Saturday nights on triple j’s house party. In that time, Ebony’s fast-growing popularity also saw her pick up peak fill-in shifts on Drive, Good Nights, the Hip Hop Show and eventually co-hosting the coveted flagship breakfast show.

Ebony started DJing at her own parties back in 2016 and since then, her expertise and dynamic sets have seen her become one of the most in-demand DJs in Australia. She’s played sets at all major festivals, like Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival, and supported the likes of Stormzy and Kaytranada in addition to her own headline tours.

Bulls Redemption

Last time out for Tony Popovic’s side against Macarthur ended in a 1-1 draw away.

This time around, our boys in blue will be looking to claim all three points and break a streak of four straight draws.

Star striker Bruno Fornaroli is in line to return to action this week as he continues his quest for the Golden Boot and glory with Victory.

The Bulls sit two points behind our boys in blue on the Isuzu UTE A-League table and are currently on a six-game unbeaten run.

The Lowe Show

Rachel Lowe’s first season in blue has so far been one to remember.

The Matilda has 10 score involvements in 15 matches and is currently second in the Golden Boot race and will no doubt be looking to continue her stellar form to end the season.

Continuing to Climb

Our girls in blue face the Central Coast for the second time this season, and will be looking to repeat their efforts from last time out.

Jeff Hopkins’ side are now four games unbeaten in the Liberty A-League as they continue their climb up the table.

Last time out against the Mariners our girls in blue walked away victorious after a 2-1 win at the Home of the Matildas.

The Mariners only sit two points behind in 6th place having won three of their last five matches.
