Young defender Dylan Murnane has secured his future at Melbourne Victory, with the club confirming he has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

The talented youngster began playing with Melbourne Victory-s National Youth League side at the beginning of the 2012/13 season and made his senior Hyundai A-League debut in Round 25 of that campaign against Sydney FC.

Murnane has now made six appearances in the A-League and has impressed coach Kevin Muscat in his four outings so far this season.

“Dylan has shown that he is up to the challenge when it comes to the A-League and he is certainly a player with a bright future,” Muscat said.

“Dylan can only get better and we are excited to have him at the club for the next two seasons.”

Murnane-s new deal will see him remain at Melbourne Victory until at least the end of the 2015/16 season.

The 19-year-old said he was excited to be able to start his professional career at Victory.

“I-ve enjoyed my time with the Club so far and I-m really excited to have signed my first pro-contract,” Murnane said.

“Melbourne Victory is a great environment to be in and to have plenty of experienced players and coaches around me is a massive help.”
