Fornaroli: “We keep believing”

Bruno Fornaroli emphasised the importance of belief and hard work in achieving Friday night’s come-from-behind win against Wellington Phoenix.

The game was a special milestone for the striker, playing his 150th A-League match in front of his family at AAMI Park.

On returning to winning ways…

“Yes finally, for us. We keep believing, we keep pushing, we keep working hard every day. We deserve a win like this.”

“I think we did everything in this couple of weeks.”

“It was a tough period, but let me say thank you to our fans. They (are) behind us and they give (us) a push from outside. It’s an amazing feeling.”

“We keep believing.”

On the belief in the squad…

“I told the boys a couple of days ago when I (permanently) joined the club I said man, we have a really, really good squad, big players, I believe in you, I believe in everyone.”

“[This is] what we need – a win like this.”

“Now I think…we are a little bit more free to play and I hope that we can win the next game.”

On having the support of his family…

“Yeah of course (it means more).”

“[My son] told me daddy, I hope that you win today.”

“They are my support and they follow me everywhere.”

“It’s great to be with my son today, but my wife and my daughter are here too so it’s great to have a win and celebrate with them.”

On the focus during the upcoming nine-day break…

“Keep working.”

“Do the same.”

“Because what we did the last week is working hard, don’t talk, keep pushing and that’s the only way. That’s what we need to do.”
