The Hyundai A-League will show its support for Harmony Day through the return of ‘Harmony Round’ during Round 24 of the 17/18 season.
Harmony Day is a celebration of Australia’s cultural diversity on March 21 and celebrates how all our differences make Australia a great place to live!
At Melbourne Victory, our Community team does a fantastic job using the power of football and our brand to engage and unite people from all backgrounds.
We offer programs for schools, clubs, charities and culturally diverse communities, and we work with key stakeholders to encourage social cohesion and to deliver football initiatives that engage young people in their local community.
We also host tournaments, open training sessions and school holiday clinics, while we engage with thousands of junior players from schools and clubs across Victoria.
During Harmony Round, we will be attending a number of events to engage with people from a range of backgrounds, including; the Dandenong West Community Festival, the Sirius College Community Moonlight Cinema and the Atherton Gardens Challenge Cup.
Our Club Victory program engages junior clubs throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria to provide new opportunities for young footballers to grow their love of the game.
The integration of junior players from all backgrounds and abilities helps to galvanise participants as part of the Melbourne Victory family, with a real focus on participation and enjoyment.
Thanks to everyone who came along to our @WorkSafe_Vic Victory For Girls clinic yesterday! ⚽ #MVFC pic.twitter.com/BvLcuaMKL9
