Melbourne Victory playmaker James Troisi has been nominated once again for the PFA A-League Player of the Month award.

Troisi, who shared the award with Perth Glory’s Diego Castro in February, was also nominated in January.

The five-player shortlist for March will be voted on by the PFA’s A-League-based members.

The PFA A-League Player of the Month nominees for March are:

  • James Troisi (Melbourne Victory)
  • Milos Ninkovic (Sydney FC)
  • Alex Wilkinson (Sydney FC)
  • Diego Castro (Perth Glory)
  • Brendan Santalab (Western Sydney Wanderers)

With Castro, Ninkovic and Troisi having already won the award this season, the trio is vying to join Marco Rojas as having twice been named PFA A-League Player of the Month over the course of the 2016/17 season.

Having been on target six times collectively during March, PFA executive Nigel Boogaard said all five nominees were worthy of recognition.

“On the pitch this season there has been some outstanding individual and team performances,” said Boogaard.

“The five nominees have excelled over the course of the season and March was no exception, and any one of them is worthy of being named PFA A-League Player of the Month.”
