Kirdar, Lawrie-Lattanzio part of Young Socceroos camp

Melbourne Victory duo Birkan Kirdar and Luis Lawrie-Lattanzio will be part of a Young Socceroos camp for three friendlies against Eredivisie clubs in the Netherlands this month.

Kirdar, 18, and Lawrie-Lattanzio, 17, will join the talent identification camp having enjoyed fine Foxtel Y-League seasons with Victory.

The Young Socceroos will face Utrecht Under-19s (February 18), Ajax U-19s (February 22) and Twente U-19s (February 25).

Attacking pair Kirdar and Lawrie-Lattanzio were influential in helping Victory win Conference A and reach the Foxtel Y-League Grand Final, in which it was beaten by Sydney FC.

Lawrie-Lattanzio scored eight goals during the campaign, while Kirdar netted twice in five appearances for the club.

Kirdar and Lawrie-Lattanzio were also part of the Joeys squad that reached the round of 16 at the FIFA U-17 World Cup last year.

The Young Socceroos will compete at the AFF U-19 Youth Championship later this year and the AFC U-19 Championship in October.
