Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce Mitch Langerak as A-League Men’s Goalkeeper Coach for the 2026/27 season.
The 37-year-old transitions from his position as Goalkeeper Coach within the Club’s Senior Academy, where he had been supporting Senior Academy Head Coach, Besart Berisha.
As a player, 34 appearances for Victory bookended a playing career highlighted by five years at Borussia Dortmund, more than 280 outings for Nagoya Grampus in Japan, and eight Socceroos caps.
Langerak replaces Davide Del Giovine, who has departed for an overseas opportunity with the blessing of the Club. The Club would like to thank Del Giovine for his tireless contributions to Melbourne Victory across his three years.
Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica, commented:
“Mitch is well known to Victory members, having represented the Club across two stints at the start and end of his exceptional on-field exploits, and we have all loved following the career of one of our own.
“Mitch has had a laser-sharp focus on developing as a coach since his return to Melbourne, and he brings a wealth of experience from domestic and international environments and is the perfect character to lead our goalkeeping unit.”
Mitch’s appointment completes the Club’s A-League Men’s staff for the upcoming season, led by Head Coach, Giovanni Savarese, and Assistant Coach, Andrew Durante.
