Melbourne Victory can confirm that forward Marco Rojas will depart the Club to pursue an opportunity overseas.
Rojas wraps up his third stint with the Club, making 127 appearances during his time at Melbourne Victory and appearing 49 times in his latest spell.
The New Zealand international also found the back of the net 12 times in his most recent period at the Club, bouncing back from a major injury in the 2020/21 season to contribute towards the Australia Cup success – his first team trophy with the Melbourne Victory.
Director of Football, John Didulica thanked Rojas for his time at the Club.
“Marco played a significant role in the team during all three periods he’s been with the Club and his contribution will continue to be a part of Melbourne Victory’s history,” Didulica said.
Rojas also expressed his appreciation for the support he has received during his time at the Club.
“I’m incredibly grateful for my time in Melbourne and Victory will always be a big part of my football career,” Rojas said.
“I’d like to thank the fans for their incredible support over the years and wish everyone at the Club the best for the upcoming season.”
The Club would like to thank Marco for his contribution and wish him the best for the future.
