Melbourne Victory match-winner Terry Antonis described his side’s incredible Semi Final win over Sydney FC on Saturday as “crazy”.
Antonis scored a stunning 117th-minute winner to see Victory past the Sky Blues 3-2 after extra time.
The midfielder had earlier netted an own goal to send the clash into extra time, after Kosta Barbarouses and James Troisi had cancelled out Stefan Nigro’s own goal.
But Antonis recovered, producing a gutsy run from inside his own half, beating three markers before finishing for the winner.
“I can’t describe it. Emotionally, it was crazy,” he told Fox Sports.
“To score an own goal and then to score the winner, it’s an amazing feeling.
“The boys stuck hard. We had a game plan and we’ve been waiting a long time for this.”
Victory will face the Newcastle Jets in the Hyundai A-League Grand Final on Saturday.
