Melbourne Victory and School Sport Victoria celebrate the announcement of the Victorian 12 years Boys and Girls State Football Teams that will compete in the School Sport Australia National 12 years Championships to be held in Canberra from September 5 to 9.

At the presentation dinner held on Wednesday, August 24, Melbourne Victory player, Isaka Cernak, presented the state uniforms to the players. Isaka also shared with the players his journey in football; from aged 14 years when he played in his first representative team in Queensland, today, a contracted Melbourne Victory player, and his dream to represent Australia at the London Olympics in 2012.

The players selected in the Victoria teams participated in a number of state wide trials. These trials included over 3,000 students who attend schools affiliated with School Sport Victoria. After a number of training sessions, the players have formed a close bond and are displaying great team work. The players will compete against the state team from NSW, Qld, SA, ACT, NT and WA. Each team includes the best 14 players in each state in both the girls and boys competitions.
