Melbourne Victory and the Afghan Women’s Team extends its partnership with Hejaz

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that Hejaz will continue as the Club’s Official Front-of-Shirt Partner of the Melbourne Victory Afghan Women’s Team (AWT) for a further two seasons.

The Hejaz brand will continue featuring front and centre of the AWT’s home and away jerseys, and its recently launched philanthropic arm, the ‘Project Us Foundation’ will be the Official Charity Partner of AWT with its brand featuring on the AWT back of shorts.

With the AWT continuing their march up the Victorian State League system and gaining back-to-back promotions over their first two seasons in Australia, Melbourne Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie said she was thrilled to have Hejaz extend their partnership with the AWT and Melbourne Victory.

“The Afghan Women’s Team and their story has developed into one of the most inspiring stories in Australian football, and we’re proud to have Hejaz continue their support for the team,” Carnegie said.

“Hejaz has been more than just a Front-of-Shirt Partner for the AWT. They have supported members of the squad with their endeavours to settle into life in Australia with their services, and also with employment opportunities. We couldn’t be prouder of the work they have done to support the team.

“The support for the AWT from the football community and the community here in Melbourne has been outstanding and we’re proud that Hejaz has been and will continue to be at the forefront of the support for the team.”

Hejaz Chief Executive Officer, Hakan Ozyon said the continued partnership with Melbourne Victory and the AWT reflects Hejaz’s reaffirmed commitment to serving the Islamic community through their charitable investments and education programs.

“We are incredibly proud to renew our sponsorship of the Melbourne Victory Afghan Women’s Team,” Ozyon said.

“Their unwavering spirit and dedication serve as an inspiration to us all. This renewal signifies not just our commitment to sports, but also our belief in empowering women and communities. Together, we will continue to champion the values of perseverance, teamwork, and excellence both on and off the pitch.”
