Melbourne Victory partners with AGL for its new Female Forum

Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce that AGL has partnered with the Club for its new women’s networking program, the MVFC Female Forum proudly presented by AGL.

The inaugural forum was held on International Women’s Day on Thursday 9 March and will acknowledge the importance of inspiring female leaders by supporting the increased presence of women in business and leadership roles by providing a forum for them to network and connect.

Melbourne Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie, who is one of the only female Managing Directors or CEO’s in professional sport in Melbourne and the first in the A-League, said she was proud to launch the program with AGL.

“We’re thrilled to be able to launch this initiative with AGL and be able to connect female leaders across a plethora of different industries to share their ideas in this space,” Carnegie said.

“The AGL Female Forum will be held multiple times over the year, bringing to the fore key topics and talking points for women in business and will host a range of high-profile guests in the industry, gaining invaluable insights into their career and experience.

AGL, GM Sales and Channel Development, Melanie Laing, who took part in the Female Forum’s first panel discussion, said she was excited to have AGL as the naming rights partner of the event.

“We have partnered with Melbourne Victory since 2014, so putting our name to this exciting new female forum was a natural extension for AGL,” Laing said.

“I am delighted that it will bring together like-minded women from different industries, helping to inspire the next generation of female leaders.”

The next Female Forum proudly presented by AGL will be held in May, focusing on growth in leadership and strategies to get the best out of employees before the final forum of 2022/23 season in June.
